Gifts They Won’t Get From Anyone Else – Abigail Nora

Hello! It’s gift guide week on A Little Leopard! All week I’m sharing my hand-selected gift picks in curated categories. Check them all out in the holiday guide.

Sure, you could buy your mom jewelry and your boyfriend cologne, and chances super high they will appreciate. I’m not discouraging that at all — I love stuff! But sometimes, you want to be extra impressive and splashy during the holidays. (And, let’s be honest, just generally a little bit extra.) And that’s where these unique gift ideas come in. Bonus? You definitely won’t have to worry about someone else getting them the same thing. Unless that someone else reads A Little Leopard, of course, in which case they have great taste.

Anyway, let’s move on to the gift ideas, shall we?

Style their home.

Yes, you can gift the services of an interior designer, and thanks to sites like Havenly it doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg! This idea is perfect for newlyweds, design lovers or anyone in your life who has recently moved. Explore Havenly’s gift options here.

Style their wardrobe.

Instead of giving someone a sweater, why not help them with a full wardrobe refresh? Trunk Club offers both online and in-person styling services for men and women. If you’re in a city with a Trunk Club clubhouse, the appointment experience is super relaxed and fun — I mean, the clubhouses all have bars inside of them! And if you’re struggling to finish your own holiday shopping, you can even enlist their stylists to help you shop for particularly tricky people on your list.

Give an experience.

Does your recipient have a favorite sports team, band in town soon or comedian? Get them tickets to a game or gig! This is a great gift idea if you want to be a little selfish, too, because they might end up taking you as their plus one. Kidding. Mostly. Be sure to check StubHub in addition to Ticketmaster for potential deals!

Give back.

My favorite way to give a charitable gift is to foster or sponsor an animal in the name of your recipient. My sister and I did this for each other a few years ago. She is obsessed with sea turtles, so I adopted a turtle for her at the Loggerhead Marinelife Center. They’re based in Flordia, so we were actually able to visit “her” turtle on vacation. And Emma fostered an orphan elephant at the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust for me. We got updates on the animals throughout the year and it was a really cool gift. Turtles and elephants not your thing? There are plenty of options out there… just google “foster + {animal of your choice}” to explore the possibilities.

Do you have any unique gift ideas you’re giving this holiday season? What’s the most interesting gift you’ve ever given or received?
