A little bit boho, a little bit mid-century modern, a little bit glam: that’s what a Sivan Ayla home tour is made of. Global influences blend with luxe touches for a space that truly reflect Sivan and her husband Paul’s style and personality.
In fact, you’ll see throughout that there are actually quite a few styles happening throughout Sivan’s house: the global-boho Moroccan-style poufs and rugs, trendy lucite chairs, marble countertops, a mid-century modern coffee tables…so “eclectic” truly is the best way I can think to describe it. And yet, Sivan infuses her personality throughout the space in a way that pulls it all together.
Another thing that makes it work? Sticking to a mostly warm-neutral color palette, with pops of metallics and red earth tones.
A rustic wood dining table is juxtaposed with a classic rug and more glamorous, trendy touches like the lucite chairs, sheepskin and Beverly Hills Hotel print.
The marble countertops are the real show-stopper in the kitchen…but I’m absolutely dying over those stools. The sleek modern lines are cozied up with a few sheepskin throws. (Seriously, Sivan masterfully uses sheepskins throughout her home in a truly warm, welcoming and stylish way.)
It has come to my attention that basically every blogger under the sun has IKEA Vittsjo shelves….except me. See also: Marianna Hewitt. I do have a round IKEA Vittsjo coffee table, though, which one day I fully intend to DIY and hack.
I love Sivan’s office, and fully stole the “tassels-on-IKEA-Kallax-baskets” decorating idea for my own IKEA Kallax. For such a versatile and universally beloved little unit, the Kallax can be tricky to style!
A shoe display befitting a lifestyle and fashion blogger, natch.
Sivan and Paul have a print by one of my favorite photographers, Gray Malin, in their bedroom.
