We all know winter weather does a number on our skin… but does anyone else feel like the transitional period between seasons is actually the worst part? We’re having a cool, rainy spell in Chicago right now and I honestly think it’s the most chapped my lips have been in a while.

So, to stop myself from becoming a cracked and scaly winter skin creature, I’ve been attacking the problem with an arsenal of hydrating beauty products — balms and serums and masks, oh my! Here are a few of my favorites:

Bite Agave Lip Mask // I’ve written about this product before, and that’s because it’s amazing. I slather this stuff on at night year-round and basically all the time in winter. When my lips are extra-dry, nothing nourishes them quite like this. The balm version is also perfect for on the go.

Aesop Resurrection Hand Cream // Spendy, yes, but worth it because it lasts forever and actually works. I’ve tried quite a few hand creams that feel more irritating than nourishing, and that’s not the case with Aesop. Plus, you know, pretty packaging.

Belif Moisturizing Bomb // I got a sample of this and it’s exactly what my sad, dry winter skin needed. It’s got a rich, smooth texture that sinks into skin for a shot of instant hydration, plus long-term moisturizing benefits.

Dr. Jart+ Sheet Mask // I love a good sheet mask, and Dr. Jart makes my favorites. The water replenishment is exactly what it sounds like: super hydrating. (Pro-tip: use a jade roller to help absorb any excess serum after you remove the sheet mask!)

Tarte Pack Your Bags Patches // I use these “undereye rescue patches” year-round to refresh, replenish and add additional moisture, but they’re especially great during cold months and for travel.

Glossier Super Bounce // This is my favorite of the Glossier serums. It’s formulated with hyaluronic acid and vitamin B5 for soft, supple skin. {ps — don’t forget you can use my rep link to get 20% off your first order and free shipping on any $30 order!)

Kiehl’s Creme de Corps // I use this body lotion year-round, but it’s worth every penny in the wintertime especially. The gentle, soothing formula gives you soft skin no matter what the weather’s like outside.
