I Like It, I Love It, I Want It: Marshall Speakers

A turntable has long been on my wishlist, but it’s a chicken-and-egg situation: do I get the turntable or the records first? Urban Outfitters’ selection of Audio-Technica players is super tempting right now, too — really loving this pink one and this white one.

And you know what goes really well with a turntable? A speaker. Like the amazing vintage-looking Marshall Acton or Stanmore Speakers. I mean, I should probably definitely get a turntable in my life first, but look how pretty!

They come in fab colors black and cream, but even better, actually have good sound quality. Too often, good-looking items sacrifice function for aesthetics, but not so with Marshall products (or so the internet reviews tell me). The brand has a storied history, creating amps and audio products for the likes of The Who, Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin. If it’s good enough for Baba O’Riley, it’s good enough for you mmkay.

Thanks to their vintage look, Marshall speakers are at home in almost any room and any setup. I’m particularly a fan of the petite Acton speaker (which at around $250 is one of the cheapest options) but you really can’t go wrong with any option.

The Acton is also Bluetooth-enabled, but still…probably best to get the turntable and records first, yeah?
