Topshop x Fleur de Force
I actually had a different post planned for today, but last night I went to this amazing event at Topshop hosted by beauty vlogger Fleur de Force that I absolutely had to share. Mostly because it was chock full of wardrobe, beauty and life inspiration from Topshop (of course), Goldplaited (an amazing local blow dry bar and styling spot) and Fleur’s new book, The Luxe Life.
I was invited to attend the event by InfluenceHER Collective and unfortunately, I didn’t snap nearly as many photos as I should have while there. Hopefully you can still experience some of the life and style inspiration I did through my recap, though! Read on for more, including a delicious cocktail recipe from Fleur’s new book The Luxe Life and top style picks from Topshop.
No, really, we got to sip on fancy gin drinks with edible flowers while being treated to a braid bar and makeup touch-ups courtesy of Goldplaited and custom fashion illustration portraits by local artist Kristine Steiner …. all while browsing Topshop’s Fall ’16 collection and Fleur’s personal picks. I would like every shopping trip to be like this, please.
I’m not entirely sure what was in the drinks at the event (partially because I did not take enough notes and photos because I am the worst blogger ever okay), but there’s a Watermelon Aperol Spritz recipe from The Luxe Life that sounds absolutely amazing… try it for yourself below!
Watermelon Aperol Spritz
Mix one part Aperol, two parts Prosecco and two parts watermelon juice with a splash of ginger beer and lots of ice. Garnish with a small slice of watermelon and enjoy!
Now, just make yourself one of those in an adorable, portable cup and bring it with you to Topshop (after getting your hair done at Goldplaited, natch) while shopping for Fall clothes and you’ve basically re-created the experience.
Okay, maybe don’t bring alcohol out and about with you, that’s a terrible idea and also technically illegal. But do check out some of Fleur’s fall picks from Topshop below — mixed in with mine of course! I am completely dying over those loafers, by the way. At $90, they’re not exactly cheap, but they’re about 1/5 the price of those super trendy Gucci loafers all the bloggers are wearing right now. And I am all about trend alternatives that are 1/5 the price of the original without looking like a total cheesy knock-off:
Ugh, I want it all! So much good stuff. Keep an eye on Topshop’s blog for future events like this, and have a wonderful weekend, loves!
