Marble is the New Black
As we look ahead to 2016 decor, design and fashion trends, we should also consider prior years’ trends with staying power. The new classics, if you will. And one of those “trends” that’s not going anywhere? Marble.
Once confined to Beverly Hills mansions and New York penthouses (those are the only places rich people live okay), marble is now accessible to the masses. It’s one of those materials that goes with anything. It can be elegant, it can be minimal, but no matter what, it’s chic. From phone cases to DIYs and marble home decor, there are few areas of life that wouldn’t be improved with a touch of marble.
In fact, a marble-inspired DIY is about the only DIY I’ve ever actually pulled off. Marble contact paper might actually be the cheapest, most versatile way to get a little marble in your life.
If you’re more of a shopper than a DIY-er (ahem, me), never fear. CB2 has an entire section dedicated to marble and rose gold goodies, or you could just shop some of my favorite marble home decor pieces and accessories below (including a ridiculous $80 real marble phone case that, not going to lie, I totally want):
