Ugh, Monday. It’s here again — I don’t know if killer Sunday night TV shows (ahem, Game of Thrones) make Monday’s arrival better or worse. I feel like probably worse, since you’ve got a whole week between you and the next episode. If we’re judging this on TV shows, of course.

Speaking of Great Things That Happened This Weekend, Beyoncé hit us all with her HBO Special Lemonade and surprise (!) visual album of the same name. If there’s one thing Beyoncé inspires me to do, it’s slay. So, let’s slay this Monday, shall we?

Easy, Healthy Work Week Breakfast

First, wake up with this delicious matcha breakfast smoothie, courtesy of Shape. If you’re a fan of Starbucks Green Tea Lattes or matcha in general, you’ll dig this – I taste-tested it myself over the weekend! Plus, it packs a bit more of a nutrient punch than some steamed milk and matcha powder alone, thanks to the addition of almond butter and a banana:

Matcha Breakfast Smoothie Recipe
In a blender, combine 1 teaspoon matcha green tea powder, 1 1/2 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk, 2 tablespoons almond butter, 1 banana, and 1/4 cup ice. Blend until smooth. (Recipe via Shape.)

Boom. That’s it. You’re done!

Five Minutes to Get Dressed? No Problem.

Next, you’ll probably need a killer outfit in which to slay your work week. But spring weather is notoriously annoying to dress for. Got you covered right here with five different outfit ideas — one for each day of the week.

Girlboss Inspiration to Fuel Your Passion

Now that you’re appropriately attired and fueled, get inspired with the following links during your Monday morning commute. If you have the type of commute that allows reading, of course! If you’re driving, biking or walking to work, a podcast might be a better idea.

  1. A full time job, personal blog and freelance side hustle? It’s possible, according to Brittany Grace of Not Another Blonde. Read how she does it here.
  2. All that hustle can feel like it’s draining your creative side. One of my favorite bloggers, Geneva of A Pair and a Spare, breaks down how you can be more creative every day.
  3. Finally, all that work slayage is going to require a desk worthy of a girlboss. SF Girl by Bay has rounded up some great home office inspiration and picks to spruce up your own workspace, right this way.

Breakfast, outfit, inspo…I think my Monday morning just perked up a bit. Hope your week is off to an equally killer start!
