About four months ago, I moved to a new place… and I absolutely love it, from the apartment itself to my new neighborhood. And speaking of new, here’s some newness that I’ve been into since my last Insta-update…
New spot: I have a restauranteur crush on Brendan Sodikoff. It seems that everything he touches turns to magic, and Au Cheval is literally probably one of the greatest things I’ve ever tasted in my life. So it only fits that he’d be the one to turn the Three Arts Club Cafe, which is inside of Restoration Hardware, into the scene of the moment. Yes, everyone and their mother has Instagrammed this shot, because look at it. Everything about it is perfection. That goes for the rest of Restoration Hardware, too, which makes me wish I had lots and lots of money to spend on furniture every time I go in. (The teen floor is actually my favorite!)
New stuff: Rose gold FRENDS Layla headphones + window-shopping the new Anthropologie catalog = pretty perfect way to spend an afternoon.
New space: I wasn’t quite sure what to do with the blank wall space above my couch. I am also a magazine hoarder. So one day I actually flipped through all of them, tore out some of my favorite pages, and washi-taped them to the wall. Easiest, cheapest DIY gallery wall ever. (The pillows are PBTeen and Anthropologie, and the couch and sheepskin are IKEA, by the way!)
New neighborhood hangout: City Press Juice is just a few blocks south of my new apartment, and the Incan Warrior superfood blend is so good. It’s amazing having a juice bar so close, but also super dangerous, because I could probably drink an Incan Warrior every single day and they are like $10 each.
New brunch place: Have you ever tried Nellcote at brunch? It’s one of the best times to go, because the restaurant’s gorgeous interior looks best in natural light. Plus, it’s named after the French villa where the Rolling Stones famously partied and recorded Exile on Main Street. What more could you want from a brunch spot? Now that it’s warming up, I’m just itching to go eat on their patio — it’s on a perfect corner of Randolph, right in the middle of Restaurant Row.
New clothes: Who What Wear’s Target collection is so. good. I get compliments on this jacket (only $45!) every single time I wear it, and only the occasional snide comment about being an extra in “Grease.”
