Emma Stone is a master of minimal-chic street style. In fact, she could totally start a fashion blog – you know, if that whole acting thing doesn’t work out. With a wardrobe full of elevated basics and staples, all in gorgeous textures and a neutral palette, she’s a girl after my own heart. Basically, I now want to overhaul my entire closet, using Ms. Stone as a guide for how to rebuild it. When it comes to Emma’s closet, I want it all, and I want it now.
(Speaking of overhauling my closet, I’ve attempted to do so in the past and am selling formerly loved pieces here. Very reasonable prices to a good home! Shameless plug over.)
Seriously, though, back to Emma. Hers is a wardrobe for all seasons – and totally, completely attainable to boot. You won’t see her strutting about New York City in overly trendy items or sky-high heels. Emma loves flats, backpacks and other, well, practical items. That doesn’t mean her outfits are boring, though. In photo after photo, she proves that practical and stylish do not have to be mutually exclusive.
As you can see, her style is all about simplicity – but she mixes it and layers it so it always looks chic and put together. In fact, I’d say Emma Stone makes an excellent case for the capsule wardrobe – or at least, splurging on a few really quality pieces instead of lots of cheap and trendy ones. (I know, I know, that is far easier said than done.)
But like I said: super attainable. You, too, can build a wardrobe worthy of Ms. Stone with a few key pieces. Warning: some of the links below are super pricey, but that’s because they’re the pieces Emma actually owns:

Edited 11/6/15 – I totally did not even realize it was Emma’s birthday today! What a fab coincidence and here’s to many more years of style.
